Celebrating 25 Years of the Office for Science and Society

Dr. Joe Schwarcz, Director of the McGill Office for Science and Society (OSS), will be featured in a lively conversation with journalist Josh Freed on May 23, 2024 at McGill University. The event will showcase the OSS’s unique approach to science communication through intriguing discussions on both the fun and challenges faced by the office. Attendees can expect to witness entertaining demonstrations that highlight the OSS’s accomplishments over the past 25 years.

The evening will begin with a reception at 6:30 PM, followed by the main event at 7 PM at the Otto Maass Chemistry Building located at 801 Sherbrooke Street, at the corner of Sherbrooke and University. It is important to note that this event will only take place in person and no virtual option will be available. However, it will be recorded and made available for viewing after the live event.
