Gran Turismo 7 Releases Major Update with New Cars, World Circuit Events and Limited-Time Stickers

Update 1.44 for Gran Turismo 7 Introduces New Cars, World Circuit Events, and Additional Features

Sony has announced a major update for Gran Turismo 7, which includes three new cars, an additional Café Menu, three World Circuit Events, and more. The update, patch 1.44, introduces the iconic Toyota GT-One (TS020) ’99 back into the game alongside new limited-time stickers.

The three new cars added in this update are the Toyota GT-One (TS020) ’99, Audi R8 Coupé V10 plus ’16, and Lamborghini Urus ’18. Additionally, the Jaguar menu has been moved to the Extra Menus section (Extra Menu No. 37), specifically for players at Collector Level 41 and above. The new World Circuit Events include the European Clubman Cup 600 at Blue Moon Bay Speedway – Infield A Reverse, Schwarzwald League at High Speed Ring Reverse, and World Touring Car 900 at the 24 Heures du Mans race track.

Highspeed Étoile’ stickers from the official TV animation series are now available for a limited time in the GT Auto / Livery Editor. There are 26 stickers in total, featuring title logos and main character designs from the show, which is set to premiere in Japan in April 2024. Limited-time availability details will be provided at a later date. Additionally, Fukushima has been included as a featured Curation in Scapes.

Gran Turismo 7 was launched in March 2022 for PlayStation 4 and 5 and received positive reviews from IGN with a score of 9/10. The game blends elements from the original Gran Turismo and Gran Turismo Sport while making some minor missteps on its competitive online racing focus. Series development chief Kazunori Yamauchi praised the game’s active player base since its release with ongoing support being made available for future updates
