Israel Confirms Death of Senior Hamas Leader Amid Ongoing Gaza Violence

Israeli Army confirms Hamas’ number 3 killed in Gaza attack last month

The Israeli military has confirmed the death of Marwan Issa, a senior Hamas leader, during an airstrike in Gaza. Issa, who was the “number three” in Hamas, played a role in organizing attacks that resulted in numerous casualties on October 7. His death was previously announced by White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. Another senior Hamas member, Commander Ghazi Abu Tamaa, was also killed in the same attack.

Israel launched its offensive in response to these attacks, leading to thousands of Palestinian casualties in Gaza and the West Bank. The Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported over 32,300 deaths related to the conflict, with additional casualties from Israeli security forces and settlers. The ongoing violence has sparked international concern and condemnation.

The targeted airstrikes have led to the deaths of key Hamas figures, disrupting the group’s leadership and coordination. Despite these losses, the conflict shows no signs of abating as both sides continue their military actions. The situation remains volatile, with civilians bearing the brunt of the violence and insecurity. Efforts for peace and dialogue appear challenging amidst the ongoing violence and bloodshed.
