Racine’s Junior Scientists Showcase Creativity and Innovation at Fresh Air Science Fair

Bango honors victors of Racine elementary school’s Fresh Air Science Fair

A group of fifth graders from Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine were recently recognized for their participation in a two-month long Fresh Air Science Fair. The fair, which began on February 1st, saw students form teams and submit projects that brought clean air pollution concepts to life. Each entry was judged based on the quality of research, data analysis, and the creativity of their presentation.

The award ceremony for the Science Fair took place on Wednesday, March 27th, with special guests in attendance. Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bango and the trampoline dunking team, the Rim Rockers, were among those present to announce the winners and award prizes.

The first-place team members received an exciting prize package that included three tickets to the April 10 Bucks game against the Orlando Magic, transportation to and from the game, and concession stand vouchers to use at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third-place winning teams also received prizes, including Bucks merchandise.

The Fresh Air Science Fair is a collaborative effort between Modine, Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County. This partnership allows students to explore important scientific concepts in a fun and engaging way. Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s Science Fair!
