Sophomore Phenom Mason Striverson: A Force on the Court and in the Classroom

Mason Striverson earns spot on College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team

The University of Evansville’s sophomore guard Kynidi Mason Striverson has been recognized for her outstanding performance both on the basketball court and in the classroom. After an impressive 2023-24 women’s basketball season, Mason Striverson was named an Academic All-District selection by College Sports Communicators.

Mason Striverson proved to be a valuable player for the Aces, averaging 11.5 points per game and leading UE in assists with 122 over 32 games. She was one of only three Evansville players to play in all 32 games and the sole player to start in all of them.

Off the court, Mason Striverson has excelled academically with a 3.663 cumulative GPA as a business management major. She has earned a spot on the Dean’s List at the University of Evansville twice in her two years. To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and either play in 90% of the team’s games or start in 66% of the team’s games.

Mason Striverson’s dedication to both her sport and her studies has earned her this prestigious recognition, highlighting her well-rounded achievements on and off the court.
