Superman” Wade: From High School to the Warriors: Following in Tread Rosenthal’s Footsteps.

Kainoa Wade to reclassify and join UH volleyball team in 2025

Hawaii men’s volleyball star player Kainoa Wade has announced his intention to reclassify and graduate early from high school in order to join the UH Manoa team ahead of schedule. This news comes after a four-set loss to Punahou, which was followed by Wade’s impressive performance with 34 kills.

According to sources, Wade is being referred to as “Superman” by coach Rick Tune due to his outstanding performance on the court. His goal is to follow in the footsteps of UH freshman setter Tread Rosenthal and wrap up his high school duties early so he can start college in January.

Wade’s commitment to UH last June solidified his plans to play for the Warriors, and now he is focused on leading Kamehameha to their first HHSAA boys volleyball title since 2011. Despite a rocky start in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu, Wade remains confident in his team’s abilities and is determined to compete in the final match with a 50-50 chance of winning.
